Ajay Devgan has played the role of Lord Chitragupta in the comedy genre film Thank God. In Jaunpur, some people of the Kayastha community have filed a case in the court, accusing the film of making fun of their adorable god Chitragupta.
In the case, 3 people including Ajay Devgan and the film’s director Indra Kumar have been made defendants. In the trailer of the film, Chitragupta is shown as modern and he is shown speaking jokes.
Thank God is going to release on Diwali. A complaint has been filed on behalf of Anand Srivastava, Brijesh Nishad, Man Singh, Vinod Srivastava and Ravi Prakash Pal against the portrayal of Chitragupta in the court of Additional Magistrate Monika Mishra, Jaunpur.
In this case, the magistrate called the lawyer and main petitioner Himanshu Srivastava to give a statement on November 18. Talking about the trailer of the film Thank God, it is shown that actor Siddharth Malhotra dies in an accident.
Then Lord Chitragupta records his deeds. Here Ajay Devgan is shown speaking sloppy words and jokes.
According to the Puranas, Lord Chitragupta is said to be the god of justice. It is believed that he has an account of the sins and virtues of every human being.
